The Buntline Special by Mike Resnick Review by Phase 5 Creator Kenneth Gentile can be enjoyed in the March issue of the Phase 5 Monthly Review and will be posted here shortly.

Battle L.A. (microreview) I hear a lot of reviews are really kicking it hard, but I didn't think it was that bad. Some of the character stuff in it was, yes, a bit stale, but I thought the aliens were cool, their lack of monologue and/or threat was cool, and the drones were cool. Also cool that a violent first contact would necessitate some research into "how do we stop it?" on an individual level. Worth seeing if you have a slow afternoon, or are in the mood to watch a handful of crazy US military folks thinking they can destroy an alien invasion in order to save the planet - or at least Los Angeles.
